Once powered, the motor kit actively holds the panel open, while high-tension springs pull the louvers into a secure, closed position the moment power is removed. For fully autonomous operation, this shutter can be integrated with an optional single-stage thermostat (such as the VC115) to regulate ventilation based on your specific temperature set points.
